The quality of life of a child with incurable illness is seriously impacted by the proficiency of the team delivering care, which, in turn, is directly conditioned by the quality of training provided. Only a high level of competence, continuous learning and clinical assessment prepare professionals working in paediatric palliative care with the broad range of skills and tools necessary to properly address the particular needs of each individual child and their family and to be able to cope with the demands of working in a highly stressful environment.
The Maruzza Foundation has elected to dedicate a part of its activities to providing cutting-edge training opportunities for healthcare professionals who make up the paediatric palliative care teams.
