The “Mauro Sentinelli” scolarship
Post-graduate specialization in paediatric palliative care
The Maruzza Foundation, which has advocated for enhanced palliative care provision at a national and international level for over twenty years, has elected to create two Scholarships for the Master’s Degree programme in Paediatric Palliative Care and Pain Management proposed by Padua University.
The scholarships were created in honour of the memory of Eng. Mauro Sentinelli a long-term supporter and member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors who, together with his family, would like to carry forward his positive legacy by fostering excellence in paediatric palliative care delivery through a gift of education to future generations of healthcare professionals working with children and families with complex care needs.
The scholarships will cover the tuition fees for the academic year 2023/2024 for a paediatric nurse and a paediatrician resident in Italy. A call for grant applications will be published and circulated through the usual communication channels (website, social networks, newsletters) used by the Maruzza Foundation and its associates. The applications submitted by the 17th September 2023 will be evaluated by a panel of experts who will select two candidates for the academic year starting November 2023.
Furthermore, during the opening ceremony of the Maruzza International Congress on Paediatric Palliative Care a section of the program will be dedicated to the commemoration of Eng. Mauro Sentinelli and the recipients of the scholarships awarded in his name.
