The Charter for the Rights of the Dying Child, proposed by a team of Italian experts (doctors, nurses, psychologists, philosophers, ethicists, legal experts, parents, journalists) and peer-reviewed by a panel of international experts, was drawn up with the aim of highlighting the rights of young patients that age, condition, culture, location and time, can not, nor should not, undermine.
The purpose of the Charter is to provide an easily comprehensible tool that proposes elements for consideration and conduct and offers suggestions and solutions that can be applied in any clinical or environmental circumstance with the aim of safeguarding respect for the child’s rights and dignity in any setting or situation.
